Aim and Scope of the Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology (JPST)

The Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology (JPST) is a quarterly free double-blind peer-reviewed multidisciplinary open access (or online) journal affiliated with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI). The Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology is accredited by Iran Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology with the accreditation number of 1922557. In addition, JPST was accredited on April 17, 2013; however, the accreditation period is from April 2011 to May 2020, which means it applies to all the issues published to date. (Moreover, some years of experience of this journal has proved that, with the support of scientists and researchers, the Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology has successfully achieved its visions.)

JPSTpublishes qualified and profound papers in different fields of petroleum and natural gas engineering, petroleum geology, and petrochemicals. The relevant topics include: petroleum and natural gas exploration, geology, geochemistry, geophysics, petrophysics, remote sensing, reservoir engineering, production and treatment, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods, separation process, synthesis and application of catalysts and chemical additives in petroleum and gas industries, hydro-conversion, energy and environment, application of nanotechnology, biotechnology, polymer science and engineering, material science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and water and wastewater treatment in petroleum industries.

Furthermore, JPST publishes review papers and research notes. The reviewing and publishing process are carefully handled by technical team, editorial board and expert reviewers.  In addition, it should be noted that the percent of similarity of each paper (submitted) to other published papers, theses, and books is checked by iThenticate (Plagiarism Detection Software) to prevent misconduct and flaw.
