Aims and Scope

The Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology (JPST) is a quarterly, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal affiliated with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI). The journal aims to disseminate high-quality research and scholarly contributions addressing scientific and technological advances in petroleum and natural gas engineering, petroleum geology, petrochemicals, and related disciplines.

JPST welcomes original research articles, review papers, and research notes covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

The journal seeks to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge among researchers, academics, engineers, and professionals working in petroleum, energy, and related fields.

All submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial technical and editorial assessment and, where appropriate, double-blind peer review. Submitted manuscripts are screened for textual similarity using iThenticate as part of the journal's research integrity and publication ethics procedures.

JPST publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License and does not charge authors article processing or publication fees.
