The Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology (JPST) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal affiliated with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI). The journal publishes Research Articles, Review Papers, and Research Notes in English, covering a broad range of scientific and technological topics in petroleum and natural gas engineering, petroleum geology, petrochemicals, exploration, reservoir engineering, production, enhanced oil recovery, refining and separation, catalysts and chemical additives, nanotechnology, biotechnology, polymers, materials, energy and environment, and related fields.

JPST is published quarterly in print and electronic formats and follows a double-blind peer-review process. The journal has received an A evaluation rating (2024) from the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
